Compensation (Pay)
$21.43 to $31.07 hourly, based on experience.
- A $1,000 sign‑on bonus: $300 payout after 30 days of employment, $300 after 90 days, and $400 after one year of employment* (current employees are not eligible).
- Loyalty Bonus: $1,200 upon 1 year of service and $300 for every additional 3 months worked (applies only to full‑time employees; prorated for part‑time).

Location
The main site for this role is 3205 North Academy Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80917. This position will float between multiple clinics in the Colorado Springs area.
Job Summary
Assist in providing high quality dental care that is culturally appropriate and prevention focused utilizing Teledental Applications. Teledentistry is the use of electronic information, imaging, and communication technologies, including interactive audio, video, data communications and store‑and‑forward technologies, to provide and support dental care delivery, diagnosis, consultation, treatment, transfer of dental information and education. The goal is to improve oral health of patients more conveniently, affordably, innovatively, and to provide more accessible care to our patients facing access barriers. This individual will be expected to provide high‑level support to Teledental Providers and Teledental patients in navigating our Telehealth platforms.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the Medical Dental Integration (MDI) hygienists in chair‑side procedures and diagnostic imaging acquisition.
- Prepare and set up instruments, materials, and equipment necessary for each procedure.
- Sterilize instruments as necessary and clean and maintain equipment and work areas.
- Assist with front‑desk responsibilities, including scheduling, recall process, patient reception, and updating patient records.
- Process encounters, billing, and bookkeeping procedures.
- Identify related medical and/or social problems.
- Report inventory problems and/or supply requests to Supervisor of MDI and/or Practice Manager.
- Serve as liaison between Teledental Providers and patients before, during, and after virtual appointments, including consultations with other service lines.
- Provide or arrange technical assistance to patients on how to navigate our Telehealth platform(s).
- Provide ongoing training to staff/providers on updates to the Teledental process and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service at all times to all clients.
- Navigate patients and staff to appropriate virtual rooms with dentists and other provider modalities.
- Post‑appointment communication, including treatment plan presentation, future appointment scheduling, and portal query responses.
- Call patients to confirm appointments and obtain digital check‑in documents prior to their appointments in accordance with Teledental Pre‑Visit Check‑In Protocols.
- Coordinate with dental staff the dentist’s schedules for patients seen through Teledentistry.
- Maintain all necessary data entry in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate knowledge and work with diverse populations in the community.
- Serve as a key component to Teledental patient outreach.
- Assist in completing and obtaining reports on a daily/monthly/weekly basis regarding patient outreach opportunities, pre/post visit surveys, and number of Teledental services provided to meet or exceed program measures/requirements.
- Maintain a flexible schedule; occasional non‑traditional hours such as evenings and weekends may be required.
- Participate in Teledental PI projects.
- Communicate concerns or problems with patient flow, customer service, or quality assurance to Supervisor of MDI.
- Assist in educating patients and training new Dental Assistants.
- Travel as necessary to meet operational needs.
- Maintain a safe work environment by staying informed of and complying with clinic safety policies.
- Know and comply with laws and regulations governing area of responsibility; report non‑compliant conduct.
- Cooperate fully with the Compliance Officer in upholding the compliance plan.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education / Experience
High School diploma or GED required. Graduate from dental assistant school preferred. Dental certification required or a minimum of 3 years of experience as a chair‑side Dental Assistant. X‑ray certification required. Previous clinical experience in an Ambulatory Care/Primary Care setting preferred.
Computer Skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), Telehealth platforms, Medical and Dental EMR.
Certificates and Licenses
Dental Certification as applicable, X‑ray certification, CPR, Colorado driver’s license (applicants must be at least 21 years of age or older to be an eligible driver on behalf of Peak Vista).
