Virginia Family Dentistry is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our Staples Mill team in the Glen Allen area. The role is full-time, consistent with a standard 8 am–5 pm schedule, and requires x-ray certification and BLS. You will support doctors, hygienists, and staff while prioritizing patient care.

Qualifications

• X-ray certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Proven time management skills.
• Maintain confidentiality with patient information.
• Strong teamwork and communication with staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance to dentists.
• Take x-rays.
• Stock, organize, and disinfect operatories.
• Ensure instrument sterilization and infection control.
• Review the doctor’s schedule daily and prepare for appointments.
• Input treatment plans.
• Keep schedule on time and communicate with front desk.
• Escort patients to front desk for checkout.
• Maintain lab tracking for lab work.
• Order and unpack supplies.
• Collaborate on schedules and follow up with patients.
• Assist hygienists and administrative staff as needed.
