Brevard Health Alliance is hiring a Dental Assistant to join the team in Melbourne, FL. The role supports the dentist and hygienist, performs clinical and administrative duties, and helps ensure efficient patient flow.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Florida Board of Dentistry-approved or CODA-accredited dental assisting program or a minimum of three years’ experience in Pediatric, General and Oral Dentistry in lieu of education.
• Florida Radiation Safety coursework and X-Ray Certification to meet Florida Radiography Requirements
• Current/BLS CPR certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Ability to work well in a team environment, self-directed, and demonstrates initiative

Responsibilities

• Completes patient chart within established standards and enters data into EMR/EDR systems.
• Seats patient courteously, records vitals, triages as necessary and prepares patient for provider.
• Maintains daily patient flow to ensure timely visits and enters patient information and treatment into EMR/EDR systems.
• Takes diagnostic radiographs as indicated by treatment plan or provider.
• Assists with pediatric, oral surgery and general restorative procedures.
• Maintains and logs OSHA-related biohazard disposal and sterilization processes.
