Qualifications

• No prior dental experience is required.
• Customer services experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform basic dental assisting functions under direct supervision of the licensed dentist.
• Participate in the Perfect Patient Experience by keeping patients focused on treatment and addressing individual needs.
• Learn infection control procedures for sterilization and operatory cleaning to ensure safety.
• Complete radiographs and intra-oral pictures under dentist direction after DAT radiation safety requirements.
• Prepare for patient care procedures, arrange procedure trays, provide chairside support, and hand off to front desk for follow-up.
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care as directed by the dentist.
• Record patient charting and treatment notes in the digital chart as directed by the dentist.
• Present treatment records, consents and health history to the dentist prior to treatment.
• Maintain compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations (OSHA, HIPAA, etc.).
