Job summary

Secor Dental Associates is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team. New grads welcomed, with X-ray certification or willingness to obtain it in Michigan. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is offered. You will be part of a collaborative 10-person team dedicated to patient care and education.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by MI.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI data safeguards.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, sustain patient comfort and provide education during treatment.
• Review patient health history to provide quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to dentists.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment room with safety protocols per OSHA & CDC.
• Manage supply and inventory levels; place and expedite orders.
• Partner with the team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize workflow.
