Job summary
Smile New York Outreach is looking for a Dental Assistant to join our school-based mobile dental practice in Brooklyn, NY. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide dental care to underserved children within school settings, with a schedule aligned to school hours (8:00 AM – 3:00 PM) and no weekends or evenings required.
Ideal candidates will have experience as a Dental Assistant and enjoy working with children. We provide a competitive compensation of $22 - $25 per hour, health benefits, and an innovative work environment.
Qualifications
- Experience with Digital X-rays.
- Valid ID and willingness to travel to schools within the boroughs.
- Experience with patient charting (paper forms, charting tooth surfaces).
Responsibilities
- Dental assisting services during mobile dental clinics.
- Digital X-ray imaging.
- Patient records charting.
- Equipment setup, breakdown, and sterilization assistance.
- Travel daily to and from school sites.
