Job summary

Smile New York Outreach, a school-based mobile dental practice, seeks a Dental Assistant to serve Bronx, NY and surrounding areas, providing care to underserved children at schools.

You will support mobile clinics, perform Digital X-ray imaging, chart patient records, and help with equipment setup and sterilization while traveling to school sites daily.

Qualifications

• Dental Assistant Certification preferred but not required.
• CPR certification is required.
• Experience working as a Dental Assistant.
• Experience with Digital X-ray imaging.
• Experience with patient charting (paper forms, charting tooth surfaces).
• Valid ID and willingness to travel to schools within boroughs.

Responsibilities

• Assist during mobile dental clinics.
• Perform Digital X-ray imaging.
• Chart patient records.
• Set up, break down and assist with sterilization of equipment.
• Travel daily to and from school sites.

Dental Assistant Qualifications

• Dental Assistant Certification (preferred, but not required)
• CPR certification card
• Working experience as a Dental Assistant
• Working experience with Digital X‑ray's
• Experience with patient charting (paper forms, charting tooth surfaces)
• Valid ID, and a willingness to travel to schools within the boroughs
• Works well with children
• Team player and able to work on a small team
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Dental Assistant Responsibilities

• Dental assisting services during mobile dental clinics
