Job summary

Pleasanton Ridge Dental Group and Orthodontics is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant to support dentists in delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced clinic. You will assist with treatments, take radiographs, and ensure patient comfort throughout procedures.

The role emphasizes chair-side support, patient education, and strict adherence to infection control and regulatory guidelines. A state-appropriate RDA certification is required, with opportunities for ongoing skill development.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school diploma or GED with mandated state training for certification/licensure
• Certifications/licenses/registrations as mandated by the state (e.g. coronal polish, radiograph exposure)
• Associate degree or one-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school; or equivalent experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist to gain patient commitment for optimal treatment with urgency
• Participate in delivering the Perfect Patient Experience by addressing patient needs and concerns
• Maintain a clean, sterile environment and prep patients for treatment
• Take x-rays and intra-oral pictures as directed by the dentist
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and operatories following ADA guidelines
• Ensure compliance with State, Federal and other regulations (OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, etc.)
