Job summary

Chalmers Dental in Walnut Creek, CA is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant or RDA to join our private practice. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of dental assisting experience, is dependable, organized, and a team player who adapts to our workflow and delivers excellent patient care.

Responsibilities include chairside assisting, room preparation, sterilization, digital X-rays, inventory management, and supporting efficient patient flow.

Qualifications

Dental Assistant / RDA - Private Dental Office

Walnut Creek, CA

$28-$35/hour, depending on experience and qualifications

We are an established, small private dental office in Walnut Creek looking for an experienced Dental Assistant or RDA to join our team.

We are looking for someone with at least 2-3 years of dental assisting experience who is dependable, positive, organized, and able to adapt to the systems and workflow of our office. We value experience, but we also want someone who is flexible, willing to learn, and enjoys being part of a team.

Responsibilities include:

• Chairside assisting for general and restorative dentistry
• Preparing and turning over treatment rooms
• Sterilization and infection control
• Digital X-rays
• Maintaining clinical supplies and ordering inventory
• Keeping treatment areas organized and well stocked
• Helping maintain efficient patient flow
• Providing professional and friendly patient care
• Supporting other team members as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2-3 years of dental assisting experience
• DA or RDA welcome
• Strong chairside assisting skills
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills
• Reliable, punctual, organized, and professional
• Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
• Professional reference from a previous dental employer required

Experience with the following is a plus, but not required:

• Open Dental
• CEREC
• Intraoral / 3-D scanning
• Digital dentistry
• Front-office duties such as scheduling, phones, insurance, and patient communication

We are looking for someone who wants to become a long-term member of a friendly and professional dental team.

Compensation:

$28-$35 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and RDA status.
