Job summary

Waco Family Medicine is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to support dentists and hygienists in chair-side procedures. You will prepare instruments and materials, expose radiographs, and sterilize equipment in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The role includes front desk tasks, patient scheduling, and accurate medical record keeping, with billing support and insurance form processing as needed. Strong customer service and bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Texas Registered Dental Assistant Certificate.
• CPR certification required.
• Accredited dental assisting course preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists and hygienists in chair-side procedures.
• Prepare and set up instruments, materials, and equipment for each procedure.
• Expose and process dental radiographs.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain equipment and work area.
• Schedule patients and perform routine reception work.
• Accurately record information on patient records.
• Assist with processing encounters and billing and bookkeeping forms.
• Identify related medical and/or social problems and assist with insurance forms.
