Job summary

CHOICE Healthcare Services is seeking a Dental Assistant for its Sacramento office. You will support dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, instruments, and materials, passing instruments, and assisting with procedures in line with the Dental Practice Act.

Qualifications

• Certification from a dental college or 3–6 months related experience
• X-ray certification required
• BLS certification required
• 8-hour Infection Control certification required
• 2-hour Dental Practice Act certification required

Responsibilities

• Assists the doctor in procedures
• Takes x-rays
• Takes IO's
• Assist in Prophylaxis cleaning of teeth
• Instructs patients on oral hygiene
• Charts cavities and teeth with doctor
• Sterilizes instruments
• Sets up/breakdown and prepares rooms for treatment/hygiene
• Charting of patient's treatment and treatment plan with doctor
