Job summary

Advanced Family Dentistry in Freehold Township, New Jersey is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to support dentists and improve the patient experience. The ideal candidate holds X-ray certification, understands dental procedures, and thrives in a fast-paced team setting.

You will assist with examinations, cleanings, and pediatric care, manage sterilization, take X-rays, and help with front desk coordination. HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• X-ray / Radiography Certification is required.
• Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, procedures, and medical imaging techniques.
• HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality are essential.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; able to work collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during examinations, cleanings, treatments, and pediatric care.
• Prepare, sterilize, and organize dental instruments and equipment per safety standards.
• Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans as needed for patient care.
• Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and treatment details accurately.
• Maintain patient records using Dentrix or similar software and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Educate patients and families on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
