Job summary

Dental Haven in Appleton, WI is seeking a Dental Assistant to support dentists in general, prosthodontics, endodontics and pediatric dentistry. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist during procedures, take X-rays, and maintain HIPAA-compliant patient care in a fast-paced clinic.

You will collaborate with a busy dental team to deliver high-quality care, ensure infection control, operate Eaglesoft or Dentrix, and explain procedures clearly to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control.
• Proficient with Eaglesoft or Dentrix; experience with Epic is a plus.
• Ability to operate X-ray machines and other imaging equipment safely and effectively.
• Excellent communication with patients and families; HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments using aseptic technique to maintain infection control standards.
• Assist dentists during general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring tools and materials are ready.
• Take and develop X-rays and other imaging while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
• Support patients by taking vital signs and explaining procedures in an understandable manner.
• Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment and ensure equipment is functional and sterile.
• Collaborate with the dental team to facilitate four-handed dentistry for faster patient care.
