Zusammenfassung

The University of Rochester's Pediatric Dentistry department seeks a Dental Assistant to support dentists in a busy clinic. You will assist chair-side, maintain sterile technique, take radiographs, prepare instruments, and help manage patient flow.

This is a full-time, 40-hour/week role located in Rochester, NY. A CODA-accredited Dental Assistant Program graduate or NYSED-supervised student is required; one year of OR or dental assisting experience is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of a CODA-accredited Dental Assistant Program or a student in a NYSED-registered dental assisting program under direct supervision.
• 1 year experience as a Dental Assistant or in an Operating Room environment preferred
• Knowledge of dental terminology and computer experience preferred

Aufgaben

• Provides chair-side or operating room assistance to Dentists and other providers.
• Maintains sterile environment and aseptic technique; uses four-handed technique with the Dentist.
• Performs instrument sterilization and radiographs; prepares and handles supplies and equipment.
• Supports QA and department initiatives and assists with patient flow and safety.
