Responsibilities include preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, assisting with radiographs, documenting care, and educating patients on oral hygiene.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland Radiation Technologist license (X-ray) preferred.
• Commitment to patient confidentiality.
• Dentrix software experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and visitors to the practice.
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
• Prepare patient for dental treatment by welcoming, seating, and draping.
• Sterilize and deliver instruments; position instruments for dentist's access; suction and pass instruments.
• Expose and develop radiographs; pour, trim, and polish study casts.
• Educate patients by giving oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions.
• Document dental care services by charting in patient records.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment by infection-control protocols.
• Conserve dental resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
