Job summary

Health Care Partners is seeking a Dental Assistant to support dentists and the care team in Marion, SC. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist during procedures, and process radiographs while maintaining patient comfort and safety.

The role includes infection control, patient education, and accurate EHR documentation, with travel between SC locations as needed. A SC-certified dental assistant and strong customer service are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current South Carolina Dental Assistant certification required.
• BLS certification preferred.
• Minimum of one year of dental assistant experience preferred.
• Experience in Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) preferred.
• Experience using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, equipment and materials for patient care.
• Welcome, prepare, and assist patients before, during, and after treatment.
• Assist dentists during examinations and restorative procedures and other dental work.
• Obtain and process dental radiographs per orders and safety standards.
• Record and update patient medical and dental histories in the EHR.
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
• Maintain infection control and operatory cleanliness per guidelines.
• Travel between Health Care Partners of South Carolina locations as needed.
• Schedule appointments and manage referrals as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care in the EHR.
