Job summary

NorthLakes Community Clinic is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the dentist, prepare patients, and help with procedures. You will take digital x-rays, chart conditions, and assist with impressions and models while maintaining strict sterilization and patient confidentiality.

The role requires a certificate or equivalent training, CPR certification, and alignment with state scope of practice regulations. Training and benefits are provided for full- and part-time positions.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school, or three months related experience.
• Non-Certified Role: three or more months related experience preferred.
• Certified Role: DANB certification with related experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification required; eligible for full credentialing with partnering hospital system.

Responsibilities

• Receive and prepare patient for treatment.
• Take digital dental x-rays to aid diagnosis by the dentist.
• Chart conditions of decay and disease for diagnosis and treatment.
• Place fluoride varnish to prevent oral health disease.
• Sterilize, disinfect instruments and assist dentist during procedures.
• Assist with impressions and mounting study casts.
• Pours, trims, and polishes models and temporary crowns.
• Follow Wisconsin Dental Assistant statutes and scope of practice.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and OSHA standards.
• Apply effective communication with a variety of patients.
