Job summary

Central Ozarks Medical Center is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the dentist with procedures, handle X-rays, and maintain instruments and operatories. The role includes minor lab work, patient education, and clerical support for scheduling and charting.

Experience in dental assisting is preferred; CPR certification is required or to be obtained during probation, with Expanded Functions performed as part of the role. Travel to COMC locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in dental assisting preferred.

• GED or high school diploma required; graduate of a dental assisting program.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Dentist with all dental procedures as directed.
• Take dental X-rays and prepare them for evaluation.
• Clean, sterilize, and lubricate instruments.
• Provide dental education for patients and families.
• Perform general lab procedures as required.
• Assist with inventory and ordering of dental supplies.
• Maintain operatories, waiting room and laboratory.
• Assist the dental receptionist with scheduling and chart maintenance and other clerical duties.
