Job summary

Central Ozarks Medical Center provides essential dental care in a community setting. A Dental Assistant supports the Dentist, handles instrument care, and helps manage operatory and lab areas to ensure smooth daily operations.

The role includes taking x-rays, sterilizing equipment, educating patients, and assisting with inventory and scheduling. CPR certification and a dental assisting program graduate are required to join COMC's team.

Qualifications

• Experience in dental assisting preferred.
• Expanded Functions Required.
• Must be CPR certified or become certified during probationary period and maintain certification throughout employment with COMC.
• Education: GED or high school plus dental assisting program graduate; Expanded Functions required.
• Language Skills: respond to inquiries and present information to the Dental Director.
• Math: basic arithmetic, using adding machine, calculator, and Microsoft Office.

Education and/or experience: Must have GED or be a graduate from high school; must have dental assisting experience and be a graduate of a dental assisting educational program. Expanded Functions Required.

Language Skills: Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers. Ability to effectively present information to the Dental Director.

Mathematical Skills: Knowledge of fundamental math, adding machine, calculator, and Microsoft office.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Travel Requirement: To fulfill the responsibility of the position travel to all COMC locations may be required. Employee must have valid Missouri driver’s license and availability of a motor vehicle. Overnight travel may also be required in specific incidences of training, conferences, etc.
