Arroyo Vista Family Health seeks a dedicated Dental Assistant to support dentists during examinations and treatments in our Los Angeles clinic. You will prepare patients and materials, assist chair-side, and help manage patient flow and documentation.

The role requires a Dental Assistant certificate, at least two years of experience, and proficiency in English and Spanish. Strong teamwork and a focus on infection control are essential for daily clinic operations.

Qualifications

• Dental Assistant certificate or equivalent training.
• Minimum two years of experience as a dental assistant.
• Typing 35 wpm and computer literacy.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills; bilingual English/Spanish.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Familiarity with Hispanic culture and teamwork.

Responsabilités

• Prepare patients for dental treatment and arrange instruments according to treatment plan.
• Maintain chair-side assistance and suction during procedures.
• Sterilize instruments and prepare materials; hand instruments to dentist.
• Assist in constructing models from impressions.
• Welcomes and registers patients and manages encounter forms.
• Schedule appointments and remind patients; track follow-ups.
• Order dental supplies and maintain inventory.
• Handle insurance verification and daily cash logs.
• Support infection control, safety, and emergency readiness programs.
• Assist with coverage at Lincoln Heights and Highland Park as needed.
