LAUKOA currently seeks Dental Assistants to support Florida Army National Guard readines services on weekends and occasional weekdays. This part-time, as-needed role involves chairside assistance, X-ray duties, and strict HIPAA compliance for military personnel.

Qualified candidates will have CPR/BLS, a high school diploma, and at least 1 year of dental experience. A valid US driver’s license is required, with preference for Florida radiography credentials and DANB CDA certification.

Qualifications

• CPR/BLS Certification required or equivalent.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active Florida Dental Radiographer certification preferred.
• DANB CDA certification preferred.
• 1+ years experience in a dental setting required.
• Must have valid US driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Excellent customer service and ability to interact with diverse clientele.
• Ability to maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient information.

Responsibilities

• Set up, take down, and maintain workstation equipment for events.
• Assist during yearly dental exams and document accurately on Military forms.
• Assist during treatment services and provide chairside support.
• Take and provide Digital X-Rays (Bitewings, PA, Panos).
• Review documentation to identify Soldiers’ needs and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Safeguard patient information and maintain confidentiality.

SUMMARY

LAUKOA is currently seeking applicants to fill our Dental Assistant positions located throughout the State of Florida in support of the Medical Readiness Services for the Florida Army National Guard. Work is primarily on weekends, with some occasional weekdays. All work is on a part-time \"as needed\" basis. We provide health readiness services to meet the medical and dental requirements to maintain a deployable military force for the Florida Army National Guard (FLARNG).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete event set up, take down, and maintenance of workstation equipment


• Assist during yearly examination/screening and ensure accurate charting on Military forms


• Assist during treatment services


• Provide Digital X-Rays to include Bitewings, PAs, and Panos


• Scan through documentation to identify Soldier\'s required needs


• Safeguard all patient information


• Ensures all actions comply with HIPAA and other appropriate federal and state laws and regulations

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

• CPR/BLS Certification


• High school diploma or equivalent


• A valid US driver\'s license


• Excellent customer service skills and experience interacting with difficult clientele


• Utilization of universal precautions for patient care


• 1+ years\' experience in a dental setting


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes quickly


• Ability to work for lengthy periods and perform accurately with adequate speed


• Must submit no less than two professional references with a resume

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Florida Dental Radiographer certification


• Active DANB Certified Dental Assistant (CDA)


• Experience working in a Military setting
