Familia Dental in Midland, TX is seeking Dental Assistants to join our team. No certification required; on-the-job training provided to help you succeed.

You will support the dentist, maintain sterile rooms, take patient histories, and assist with x-rays in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. We emphasize compassionate care and community involvement, with part-time options and a schedule that includes mornings, evenings, and some Saturdays.

Qualifications

• On-the-job training provided; certification not required to hire as Dental Assistant.
• No prior experience or certification required; on-the-job training.
• Assists dentist and supports clinical team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong focus on patient care, safety, and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and escort patients from reception to treatment areas.
• Ensure treatment rooms are stocked and inventory is ordered.
• Take and record patients’ medical and dental histories and vitals.
• Document all dental procedures per Dentist’s instructions and law.
• Take and develop dental diagnostic x-rays.
• Pour and base diagnostic models and fabricate temporary restorations where allowed.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments, set up trays, and assist during procedures.
• Provide dental education to patients on oral health and hygiene.
• Notify Office Manager of equipment trouble or safety concerns.
• Attend morning huddles, chart reviews and staff meetings.
• Recognize and be sensitive to patients’ emotions.
• Follow company policies and state/federal laws.
• Other tasks as assigned.
