Job summary

Maple Shade Dental at Camp Crossing in East Peoria, IL is seeking a part-time Dental Assistant to support the clinical team with patient care and treatment assistance. The role emphasizes teamwork and a high level of service in a modern practice.

The schedule includes Monday and Wednesday 7:30 - 5pm and Friday 7:30am - 2pm, with benefits such as health, dental, vision insurance, life and disability coverage, a 401(k), and opportunities for continuing education and development.

Qualifications

One year or more on-the-job-experience (with supporting documentation).
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
