Job summary

Gentle Dental in Murrieta, CA is seeking a compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team. You will assist during patient treatment, prepare treatment rooms, take diagnostic records, and help maintain a welcoming, professional environment.

The role is part-time with a pay range of $19.00–$20.00 per hour, DOE. Requirements include graduation from an accredited Dental Assisting Program, English/Spanish bilingual abilities, and at least 2 years of experience along with an 8-hour Infection Control

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish required; strong communication and patient care skills.
• 2+ years of experience in dental assisting.
• Graduation from an accredited Dental Assisting Program.
• 8-Hour Infection Control Certificate required.
• EFDA/X-Ray/RDA credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist during patient treatment and procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure instruments are ready
• Take diagnostic records (impressions, photographs, radiographs) as permitted
• Provide patient education and maintain accurate documentation
• Ensure infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
• Contribute to a welcoming, professional patient experience
• Support efficient office operations with team collaboration

What You'll Do

• Assist during patient treatment and procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure instruments and materials are ready for patient care
• Take diagnostic records, including impressions, photographs, and radiographs as permitted by state regulations
• Provide exceptional patient care and education throughout treatment
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
• Support a positive patient experience by creating a welcoming and professional environment
• Collaborate with providers and team members to ensure efficient office operations

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Dental Assisting Program
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• 2+ experience
• 8-Hour Infection Control Certificate

• Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) Certification
• X-Ray Certification
