Job summary

PDS Health in Leander, TX is seeking a Dental Assistant to support clinicians and deliver the Perfect Patient Experience (PPE). You will prepare patients, assist dentists, and help maintain a clean, sterile environment across multiple offices.

The role requires effective communication, teamwork, and the ability to travel between offices as needed; a high school diploma or GED and state-mandated training are required. Benefits include health coverage and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Equivalency: high school diploma or GED with state-mandated training.
• State-mandated certificates/licenses required.
• Specialty Dental Assistants must have valid driver’s license and auto insurance; background check required.
• Must travel to multiple offices per day as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform functions per the applicable state's Dental Auxiliaries Table of Permitted Duties.
• Actively participate in PPE to keep patients focused on treatment.
• Escort patients to/from the front desk and facilitate introductions to team members.
• Coordinate with front/back office to ensure orthodontist schedules run smoothly.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, cheerful environment and sterilize instruments.
• Prepare patients for treatment and assist the dentist to deliver quality care.
• Complete radiographs and intra-oral photos as directed by the clinician.
• Prepare tray setups and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory.
• Keep patients’ mouths dry and clear with suction as needed.
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care.
• Record patient charting in the digital system and present records to clinician.
• Ensure equipment is maintained per manufacturer guidelines.
