Job summary

Optimum Oral Surgery Group seeks an experienced Oral Surgery Surgical Assistant to support surgeons in a fast-paced setting. You will assist with procedures, ensure sterile prep, document care, and monitor patient status throughout the operation.

You will obtain radiographs, engage in preoperative tasks, and participate in team discussions to optimize patient outcomes while upholding safety and quality standards. This is a full-time role with travel to multiple NJ locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification or ability to complete within 1 month of hire.
• Strong teamwork, independence, good judgment and critical thinking.
• Safety-focused with exceptional attention to detail and vigilance.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Excellent manual dexterity and listening, especially in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons with precision during oral surgery procedures.
• Handle preoperative tasks and maintain sterile environments.
• Document patient care accurately throughout procedures.
• Participate in discussions with surgeons and monitor patient status.
• Operate advanced equipment with care and competence.
• Obtain radiographs and craft detailed patient narratives.

Required Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous oral surgery experience is beneficial.Radiology certification is preferred.DAANCE certification is beneficial.
