Job summary

Leading Edge Specialized Dentistry in Woodbury, NY seeks a dedicated dental assistant to join our practice. You will welcome patients, assist the Oral Surgeon, and perform radiographs, CBCT, and intra-oral scans as prescribed.

You will uphold strict infection control, prepare operatories, and support daily operations while educating patients on oral hygiene. A positive, team-oriented attitude is essential for providing exceptional patient experiences.

Qualifications

• Prior dental assisting experience required.
• Resume showing consistent employment history.
• Strong interpersonal communication for patient experiences.
• State certifications/licenses as required to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and ensuring comfort during visits.
• Support the Oral Surgeon with various procedures.
• Take digital radiographs, CBCT, and intra-oral scans as prescribed.
• Maintain strict infection control and sterilize instruments.
• Prep operatories for treatments and sanitize rooms.

Leading Edge Oral Surgery - Woodbury

800 Woodbury Rd Ste.100C, Woodbury, New York 11797

HIRING SCHEDULE:

• Monday: 8:00am-5:00pm
• Tuesday: 8:00am-5:00pm
• Wednesday: 8:00am-5:00pm
• Every other, Thursday: 9:00am-5:00pm
• Friday: 8:00am-5:00pm

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Welcoming patients with a smile, making them feel comfortable and confident throughout their visit.
• Support the Oral Surgeon with various procedures.
• Taking digital radiographs, CBCT and intra-oral scans as prescribed
• Ensure strict infection control by meticulously preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
• Sanitizing and prepping operatories for respective treatments.
• Adhere to OSHA and safety policies, prioritizing a secure and healthy environment.
• Educate patients on effective oral hygiene strategies as needed
• Undertake diverse office tasks as needed for seamless practice operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior dental assisting experience required.
• Any certification/license as required by the state to perform specified duties.
• A resume showcasing a consistent and stable employment history.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, delivering exceptional patient experiences.
