Job summary

OneWorld Community Health Centers, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Dental Assistant for the West Omaha Dental Clinic (120th and I). This full-time role supports dentists chairside, prepares treatment rooms, and handles patient care, with travel to other OW Dental Clinics as needed.

Required High School diploma or equivalent; a dental assisting program is preferred. BLS within 30 days, coronal polishing and radiography certifications preferred. English proficiency is required, Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduation from a dental assisting program preferred.
• BLS certification required within first 30 days of employment.
• Coronal polishing certification preferred.
• Radiography certification preferred.
• Proficiency in English required; Spanish preferred or depending on clinic location.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentist chairside with diagnostic, operative, and surgical procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms following prescribed procedures and protocols.
• Obtain accurate blood pressure readings.
• Take and arrange radiographs and chart conditions.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment.
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care.
