Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique, vital signs monitoring, medical coding, and general dentistry practices.
• Familiarity with dental software such as Epic is a plus.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including general dentistry and endodontics.
• Prepare and maintain the treatment room, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
• Perform aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment.
• Take and develop X-rays as required, adhering to safety protocols.
• Record vital signs and maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Manage patient flow and schedule appointments efficiently.
• Handle medical coding for insurance claims as needed.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure optimal patient care.
