Job summary

Familia Dental in Madison, WI is hiring a Dental Assistant to join our team. We provide on-the-job training, so certification is not required to be hired as a DA. You will support the dentist and help deliver quality care in a friendly, patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities include patient intake, charting, radiographs, sterilization, education, and collaboration with the office team. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Must have exceptional customer/patient service.
• Basic computer knowledge; Denticon experience preferred.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
• Detail oriented and able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Meet state requirements for DA duties; BLS/CPR certificates required.
• Dental assisting experience preferred but not required.
• Healthcare field experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and escort patients from reception to treatment areas.
• Ensure treatment rooms are stocked with inventory and re-order when necessary.
• Record patient medical and dental histories and vital signs.
• Document charting of dental procedures per Dentist’s instructions and legal requirements.
• Take and develop dental diagnostic x-rays.
• Pour and base diagnostic models and fabricate temporary restorations as allowed by state law.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments; set up trays and assist dentist during procedures.
• Educate patients on dental health and oral hygiene strategies.
• Notify Office Manager of equipment trouble or safety concerns.
• Attend morning huddles and chart reviews.
• Follow company policies and state/federal laws.
• Other tasks as assigned.
