A.T. Still University's Missouri School of Dentistry and Oral Health (ATSU-MOSDOH) seeks a full-time Dental Assistant on the St. Louis campus to support dentists, dental students and clinical operations.

You will prepare and sterilize instruments, set up operatories, document findings, assist with procedures, and help with reception duties when patient load requires it. This position emphasizes infection control, accuracy in documentation, and teamwork in a fast-paced academic environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and dental assistant program completion.
• Active CPR certification.
• 1–3 years of dental experience; infection control knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruments and chairside support during exams and procedures.
• Prepare, sterilize, log, and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
• Set up operatories and prepare materials and impressions.
• Prepare patients with health histories, vital signs, consent forms, and comfort.
• Monitor patient condition and document findings; nitrous oxide if certified.
• Document and maintain patient records with confidentiality.
• Rotate through areas and assist dentists and students; cover receptionist duties as needed.
