Job summary

A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-ASDOH) on the Mesa campus is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant.

The role supports students and faculty chairside, maintains supplies and operatories, and helps manage sterilization and safety procedures in a busy clinical teaching environment.

Candidates should have CPR and X-ray certification, 2–3 years of dental assisting experience, and experience with electronic health records; excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have 2-3 years of dental assisting experience.
• CPR and X-ray certification required.
• Familiar with OSHA, HIPAA and infection control.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR).

Responsibilities

• Chairside assistance for students and faculty.
• Maintain supply levels and operatory cleanliness.
• Maintain suction lines and DUWL.
• Close clinic operations and coordinate sterilization.
• Attend staff and departmental meetings.
• Provide feedback on supply usage and potential cost savings.
• Participate in continuing education courses.
