Job summary

Worcester Dental Arts in Worcester, MA is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to support high-quality patient care and a welcoming environment. You will assist the General Dentist, prep rooms, take digital X-rays, and help keep appointments running smoothly.

The practice offers a Monday–Friday 7:45 am–5 pm schedule with no weekends or late nights, competitive benefits, and a supportive clinical team. Prior dental assisting experience is preferred, and training is provided for the right

Qualifications

• Previous dental assisting experience.
• Experience in general dentistry preferred; training available.
• Strong communication to help patients feel comfortable.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Detail-oriented with commitment to quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming experience for patients and keep them informed throughout their dental visit.
• Assist the General Dentist during various procedures, including restorative work, crowns, fillings, extractions, root canals, hygiene support.
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials to ensure appointments run efficiently.
• Take diagnostic records, including digital x-rays, intraoral photos, scans, and impressions as needed.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and preventive dental health.
• Monitor patient flow and work with the clinical team to minimize wait times.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and update patient records as needed.
• Follow infection control, sterilization, OSHA, and HIPAA protocols to ensure a safe environment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional treatment area.
• Collaborate with the dental team to support day-to-day operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
