Job summary

Worcester Dental Arts in Worcester, MA is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to support high-quality patient care and a welcoming environment. You will assist the General Dentist, prep rooms, take digital X-rays, and help keep appointments running smoothly.

  • Previous dental assisting experience.
  • Experience in general dentistry preferred; training available.

Responsibilities

  • Create a welcoming experience for patients and keep them informed throughout their dental visit.
  • Assist the General Dentist during various procedures, including restorative work, crowns, fillings, extractions, root canals, hygiene support.
  • Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials to ensure appointments run efficiently.
  • Take diagnostic records, including digital x-rays, intraoral photos, scans, and impressions as needed.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and preventive dental health.
  • Monitor patient flow and work with the clinical team to minimize wait times.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and update patient records as needed.
  • Follow infection control, sterilization, OSHA, and HIPAA protocols to ensure a safe environment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional treatment area.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to support day-to-day operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and preventive dental health to support positive outcomes.
  • Monitor patient flow and work closely with the clinical team to maintain an efficient schedule and minimize wait times.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and update patient records as needed.
  • Follow all infection control, sterilization, OSHA, and HIPAA protocols to ensure a safe clinical environment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional treatment area.
  • Collaborate closely with the dental team to support exceptional patient care and day-to-day office operations.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications
  • Previous dental assisting experience

  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and dental practice management software
