Monday – Friday(40 Hours) - Flexible Work Schedule

Availability Between Hours of 8:00am - 6:00pm.

$1,500 Sign On Bonus

The DentalAssistant performs a variety of patient care, and office duties, and often works chair-side as dentists examine and treat patients. Dental Assistant prepares the operatory, makes patients as comfortable as possible in thedentalchair, prepares them for treatment, and obtains theirdentalrecords.

Essential Functions:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the following essential functions.

  • Prepares operatories for patient treatment by setting up with appropriate instruments and materials.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations as well as adhering to infection control policies and protocols.
  • Assists chair-side in all procedures, charts in patient records, and complete lab tasks.
  • Maintains inventory of dental materials and supplies and assures that all equipment in the clinical areas remains functional.
  • Responsible for disinfecting and sterilizing dental instruments, equipment and supplies within the clinical area. Re-sterilizes autoclave bags as needed.
  • Cleans autoclave and runs spore tests by scrubbing and running the autoclave with a specific cleaner. Ensures machine is not used for a period of three hours during thistime.
  • Coordinates specialty referrals.
  • Assists the dental hygienist as needed.
  • Performs expanded function duties as required by supervisor.

Qualifications

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
1. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
2. Must be able to handle a moderate degree of stress.
3. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
4. Bilingual Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred.

What You Will Need:

  • Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Experience: One year experience.
  • Certification/Licensure: Current Massachusetts License to practice as a dental assistant required.
  • Current CPR/AED certification required
  • Dental radiology certification preferred
