Job summary

Marin City Health & Wellness Center (MCHWC) is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the Dentist in delivering comprehensive care to Marin City and Southern Marin residents. You will be performing four-handed assisting across multiple specialties and coordinating with labs and staff to ensure smooth patient flow.

The role requires an active CA RDA license, current CPR/CE, and a professional attitude. You will help educate patients on oral health, manage records in OpenDental/EHR, and participate

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• Graduation from accredited Dental Assisting School preferred or 2+ years as RDA.
• Valid CA RDA license and RDA certification.
• X-ray license.
• CPR training current.
• CE courses current.
• Basic CPR (BCLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Be proficient in all phases of four-handed dental assisting across prosthodontics, periodontics, oral surgery, preventive, restorative and diagnostic procedures.
• Maintain sterile instruments and prepare operatory.
• Record examination findings in OpenDental/EHR and maintain patient records.
• Provide administrative support to the Dentist and coordinate referrals and follow-up appointments.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold clinic privacy policies; attend trainings as directed.
