Responsibilities

• Learn and perform basic dental assisting under the dentist's direct supervision.
• Support the Perfect Patient Experience by addressing patient needs and concerns.
• Perform infection control procedures for sterilization and operatory cleaning to ensure safety.
• Complete radiographs and intra-oral pictures after radiation safety requirements are met.
• Prepare patients, trays, and assist with procedures, then hand off to the front desk for follow-up.
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care as directed by the dentist.
• Record patient charting and treatment notes in the digital chart as directed.
• Present treatment records, consents and health history to the dentist prior to treatment.
• Maintain compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations (OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, etc.).
