Job summary

Ballard Modern Dentistry in Seattle is seeking a motivated dental assistant to learn and perform basic duties under the direct supervision of a licensed dentist. You’ll gain hands-on experience while joining a team dedicated to patient care.

You’ll participate in infection control, radiographs after safety checks, charting, and chairside support, while promoting a positive patient experience and adherence to regulations.

Qualifications

• No prior dental experience is required.
• Customer services experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform basic dental assisting functions under the direct supervision of the licensed dentist.
• Actively participate in the Perfect Patient Experience by keeping patients focused on optimal treatment and attending to their needs.
• Learn infection control procedures for sterilization and operatory cleaning and disinfection to ensure safety.
• Complete radiographs and intra-oral pictures after the DAT completed all radiation safety requirements.
• Prepare for patient care procedures and provide chairside support, handing off to the front desk for follow-up.
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care as directed by the dentist.
• Record patient charting and treatment notes in the digital chart as directed by the dentist.
• Support patient care by presenting treatment records, consents and health history to the dentist before treatment.
• Maintain compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations (OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, HR policies).
