Smile Starters Dental in Charlotte, NC is hiring a Full-Time Dental Assistant I to support pediatric patients (ages 1–20). You will welcome families, perform pre- and post-operative consultations, prepare patients and instruments, and assist dentists chairside using four-handed dentistry.

The role emphasizes infection control, OSHA-CDC standards, and teamwork. Candidates should have CPR, sterilization, radiology, and dental emergencies certifications, plus proficiency with dental office software

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and families to the office with professionalism and warmth
• Conduct pre- and post operative consultations
• Prepare patients for treatments or checkups, ensuring comfort and reassurance
• Select, prepare, and arrange instruments, equipment, and materials for procedures
• Sterilize instruments according to OSHA and CDC standards
• Assist dentists chairside using 4-handed dentistry techniques
• Complete lab-related tasks as instructed
• Provide oral hygiene and post operative care instructions
• Maintain clean, stocked, and organized operatories
• Schedule patient appointments and manage accurate records
• Collaborate with the team and perform other duties as assigned
