Job description

Pay Rate : $17 / hr - $22 / hr (based on experience)

Join Our Growing Dental Team in Akron!

We are looking for a motivated and dependable Dental Assistant to join our patient-centered practice in Akron, Ohio. This full-time role offers consistent weekday hours with no weekends, a positive work environment, and great benefits.

Key Responsibilities :

Work collaboratively as a team player with a professional and positive attitude

Assist the doctor with all dental procedures after receiving proper training

Seat patients promptly and educate them about upcoming procedures

Reinforce oral hygiene instructions and provide patient education

Maintain accurate and thorough charting of procedures and patient communications in electronic records

Stock operatories and support the team in keeping all rooms properly supplied

Follow opening and closing protocols for dental equipment each day

Adhere to OSHA standards and maintain clean, organized workspaces

Perform sterilization procedures, including autoclave operation and spore testing

Clean water lines and traps, and conduct routine maintenance on compressor and vacuum systems

Possess knowledge of various dental procedures and instruments

Perform dental procedures such as X-rays, impressions, and cleanings (if certified)

Deliver outstanding customer service to all patients

Manage front office tasks including scheduling appointments and ordering supplies

Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, team members, and insurance companies

Assist with prior authorizations and appointment confirmations

Preferred Qualifications :

Dental Assistant certification (preferred)

X-ray certification (preferred)

Experience with dental software and electronic health records

Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
