Benton County is currently seeking Dental Assistants to join our team. This is a great opportunity for Dental Assistants who are interested in working within a school-based program. Come join a super fun and fiercely dedicated team!
Job Summary
Dental Assistants are responsible for assisting dentists and dental hygienists in providing dental services in a variety of settings. This position also provides dental coordination for community based outreach, screening, prevention, and oral health education services. Additional responsibilities include providing technical skills, clerical support, and assuring efficient, high quality services in community settings. This position works with the community, schools, and other service providers to deliver oral health services.

Please Note:
  • This is an intermittent position not to exceed 1040 hours worked in a fiscal year. (July 1 - June 30)
  • Work schedule is generally 8:am - 4pm.

Minimum Qualifications for HCT21
The following minimum qualifications are required for this position:
  • Technical Training beyond high school; AND
  • 1 year of clinical dental support experience

Special Requirements:
  • EFDA Certification (Expanded Functions Dental Assistant / X-Ray Certification), including Pit and Fissure Sealant
  • Current CPR for Rescue Provider Card (or obtain within 6 months of hire)
  • Valid Oregon Driver's License. This position requires driving and may require use of a personal vehicle.
  • Hiring is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.

The Ideal Candidate
  • Experience and interest in working with kids.
  • Experience with dental screenings in a school setting
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
