Affordable Dentures & Implants in Virginia is seeking a compassionate Dental Assistant to join our growing team. This role supports denture procedures, implants, oral surgery, and removable prosthetics, with opportunities to work alongside experienced dentists and in-house lab professionals.

You will prepare operatories, take denture impressions, assist during procedures, maintain infection control, and help educate patients on treatment plans and care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Dental Assistant and X-ray certification required where state law requires.
• Strong communication and patient service skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding patient care and create a welcoming, positive experience from check-in through treatment.
• Prepare operatories, instruments, equipment, and materials before each patient appointment.
• Assist dentists during denture procedures, dental implant placement, oral surgery, extractions, and prosthetic treatments.
• Take and assist with alginate denture impressions, select appropriate impression trays, and prepare wax bites under dentist direction.
• Assist with denture insertions, adjustments, relines, repairs, and other expanded duties where permitted by state law.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, denture options, implant procedures, post-operative care, home care instructions, and financial packages.
• Take dental radiographs in accordance with state certification requirements.
• Maintain infection prevention and sterilization standards.
