Job summary

Affordable Dentures & Implants is seeking a compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team in a fast-paced, specialty practice focusing on dentures, implants, and prosthodontics. You will work closely with experienced dentists and in-house lab professionals to deliver high-quality tooth replacement solutions to patients.

You will perform chairside duties, assist with denture procedures and implants, and help educate patients on treatment options and home care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Dental Assistant certification and X-ray certification as required by state.
• Strong communication and patient service skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Commitment to teamwork, professionalism, and compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding patient care and create a welcoming, positive experience from check-in through treatment.
• Prepare operatories, instruments, equipment, and materials before each patient appointment.
• Assist dentists during denture procedures, dental implant placement, oral surgery, extractions, and prosthetic treatments.
• Take and assist with alginate denture impressions, select impression trays, and prepare wax bites under dentist direction.
• Assist with denture insertions, adjustments, relines, repairs, and other expanded duties where permitted by state law.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, denture options, implant procedures, post-operative care, home care instructions, and financial packages.
• Obtain and document patient medical histories, treatment information, and clinical notes accurately.
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays) in accordance with state certification requirements.
• Maintain infection prevention and sterilization standards; clean, disinfect, and sterilize instruments and operatories.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering clinical supplies.
• Support daily office operations and maintain a clean clinical environment.
• Travel occasionally for training and continuing education.
• Perform additional duties to support patient care and office success.
