Job summary

The role offers local pay of $34.58 per hour (W2) with Wednesday and Thursday shifts, plus a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life and short-term disability. Requirements include CO license/certification in good standing, at least 1 year of recent dental assisting

Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted CO license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Dental Assistant within the last 3 years.
• Copy of PSV from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test).

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Prepare treatment rooms, dental instruments, equipment, and materials before procedures.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and maintain infection control standards.
• Take and process dental X-rays as permitted by state regulations.
• Prepare patients for treatment and explain procedures for comfort and understanding.
• Provide chairside assistance, including instrument transfer and suctioning.
• Record patient medical and dental histories, treatment information, and clinical notes.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and preventive dental practices.
• Monitor and maintain dental supplies, equipment, and inventory.
• Follow OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and facility policies.
• Assist with scheduling, patient records, and other administrative duties.
