Posting Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Dental Assistant III within the Pediatric Dentistry Department at the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine ( RSDM ).

Under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor, the Dental Assistant III will support the department by providing clinical assistance for the Department of Pediatric Dentistry / Special Care Treatment Center.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

  • Serves as a Dental Assistant to assist Faculty and Postgraduate Students with patient care, set up and stock units daily to avoid delays in patient care.
  • Reports equipment malfunction or breakdown to Clinical Supervisor.
  • Transports instruments to/from sterilization in accordance with the RSDM Infection Control policy and protocol.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by adhering to RSDM infection control policy and departmental protocol.
  • Assists with the ordering of supplies as needed.
  • Ensures patients are seen in a timely and efficient manner, and maintains patient confidentiality.
