Job description

Dentistry of the Carolinas - Steele Creek

Dentistry of the Carolinas - Steele Creek is currently in search of a skilled Dental Assistant with a minimum of one year of practical experience (please note that job shadowing and internships do not qualify as work experience). The ideal candidate will possess a Dental Assisting certification and meet several key qualifications.

Our preferred candidate:

  • Must be up to date with CPR, OSHA and HIPAA certifications; hold a certificate of radiography and have completed 2,000 or more chairside hours assisting.
  • Is well-versed in four-handed dentistry, demonstrating the ability to anticipate the doctor's needs.
  • Adheres to all regulations, protocols, and procedures, showcasing a comprehensive understanding of dental instruments and terminology.
  • Will be proficient in executing lab procedures accurately, maintaining and caring for equipment, and ensuring a positive rapport with both patients and teammates.
  • Must have effective time management skills that are crucial for directing patient flow, and the ability to multitask is highly valued.
  • Must maintain a positive attitude, be willing to assist others, and attend to patient needs for an overall pleasant treatment experience.

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates must possess a current CPR certification, X-Ray certification, and a record of updated vaccinations. Experience with Open Dental or comparable software, as well as digital radiography, is preferred.
