Job summary

MetroHealth System seeks a Dental Assistant to support clinicians serving children through adults at Ohio City Family Dentistry. You will assist in delivering high-quality, safe, patient-centered care in a busy dental office.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, graduation from a Dental Assisting program or 1 year of experience, Ohio Radiographer license or eligibility within 90 days, and BLS certification within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of a Dental Assisting program or 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Ohio Dental Assistant Radiographer license or eligible within 90 days.
• Current BLS certification or eligible within 90 days.
• Willing to work days, evenings, weekends; travel to satellite locations if needed.

Responsibilities

• Supports the clinical provider in delivering dental care to patients from children to adults.
• Assists in delivering services efficiently, safely, and compassionately with good customer service.
• Upholds MetroHealth System mission, vision, and standards.

Education

High school graduate or equivalent

Graduate of a Dental Assisting program

1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant

Graduate of a foreign accredited dental or hygiene school

Tools

Ohio Dental Assistant Radiographer license

BLS certificate (American Heart Association)
