Dental Assistant Key Competencies:
  • Assist the dentist in providing dental treatment
  • Function as a treatment coordinator and present treatment plans to patients
  • Schedule patient appointments
  • Maintain dental instruments, supplies, and equipment
  • Record patient health histories
  • Assist with patient management during procedures
  • Complete instrument sterilization and sanitization
  • Prepare dental materials and equipment
  • Complete dental charting
  • Manage inventory and perform ancillary duties
Qualifications:

Requirements:
  • DA Training or equivalent
  • Preferred 2-5 years of experience as a Dental Assistant
  • CDA certification or completed radiological equivalency exam or CODA-accredited program
  • CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients
  • Knowledge of Eaglesoft and/or Denticon software is a plus
  • Reliable and punctual attendance
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Initiative, dependability, and promptness
  • Attention to detail and flexibility to handle various tasks
  • Ability to follow instructions and maintain confidentiality
