Job summary

Ganglani DMD PLLC in the United States is seeking a dedicated dental assistant to support dentists and patient care throughout procedures. You will prepare rooms, sterilize instruments, manage equipment, take X-rays, and help with lab tasks while delivering clear post-operative instructions.

The ideal candidate has completed an accredited dental assistant program, holds radiographic certification, and has at least 18 months of clinical experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 18 months of clinical dental assisting experience.
  • Completion of a certified dental assistant training program is required.
  • Radiographic certification required.
  • Coronal polishing is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure equipment readiness.
  • Assist dentists during procedures by handing instruments and anticipating needs.
  • Take and process X-rays; perform lab tasks as instructed.
  • Greet patients, schedule appointments, and advise on oral hygiene.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures.
  • Communicate clearly to provide post-operative care instructions.
  • Handle general administrative duties to maintain the practice.

Job Responsibilities
  • Preparing exam rooms, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring necessary equipment is ready for dentists
  • Knowledge of general anatomy of the mouth and dental terms
  • Understanding of crowns, fillings, extractions, root canals and implants
  • Assisting dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating needs
  • Taking and processing X-rays of patients
  • Perform lab tasks as instructed
  • Greeting patients as they arrive and scheduling appointments
  • Advising patients on recommended oral hygiene
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures
  • Strong communications skills required to deliver oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
  • Handling general administrative and other duties to maintain the dental practice
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year Experience Required
Education
  • Completion of a certified dental assistant training program required. Radiographic certification required. Coronal Polishing is a plus, but not required.
Skills and Experience
  • 18 months or more of clinical experience as a dental assistant required.
