Job summary

Paycom is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant II at our High Point location. You will assist the dentist, manage treatment plans, schedule patients, and maintain a clean, sterilized clinical area. The role requires DAII training or equivalent and CPR certification, with 2–5 years of experience preferred.

Proficiency with Eaglesoft or Denticon is a plus. You will contribute to a supportive team environment and ensure high standards of patient care and confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • DAII training or equivalent required.
  • Preferred 2–5 years of Dental Assistant experience.
  • CPR certification required or within 30 days of hire.
  • Ability to present clinical information regarding treatment plans and insurance to patients.
  • Knowledge of Eaglesoft and/or Denticon software is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist dentist in providing dental treatment.
  • Coordinate and present treatment plans to patients.
  • Schedule patient appointments.
  • Maintain dental instruments, supplies, and equipment.
  • Collect and record patient health histories.
  • Assist with patient management during procedures.
  • Sterilize instruments and prepare treatment rooms.
  • Prepare dental materials and equipment for scheduled treatments.
  • Complete dental charting and inventory management.

Dental Assistant II Key Competencies
  • Assists the dentist in providing dental treatment
  • Functions as a treatment coordinator and prepares and presents treatment plan to patients
  • Schedules patient appointments to accommodate potential obstacles
  • Maintains dental instruments, supplies, and equipment
  • Collects and records patient health histories
  • Assists with patient management during dental procedures
  • Completes instrument cleaning & sterilization and post‑op sanitization of treatment rooms
  • Prepares dental materials and equipment as needed for the scheduled treatment
  • Completes dental charting
  • Is responsible for inventory supply and other ancillary duties
Essential Requirements
  • DAII training or equivalent
  • Preferred 2‑5 years of Dental Assistant experience
  • Achieved CDA certification, or completed radiological equivalency exam through NC State Board of Dental Examiners, or completed CODA‑accredited dental assisting program
  • CPR certified, or will become CPR certified within 30 days of hire
  • Ability to professionally present clinical information regarding treatment plans and insurance information to patients
  • Knowledge of Eaglesoft and/or Denticon software a plus
  • Regular and timely attendance
